How to Select the Correct Rubber Pads for FOG
For FOG, precise identification is particularly important because older and newer model designations exist on the market at the same time. A rubber support for a current two-post lift such as AZUR35CH, AZUR42CH, AZUR50CH or AZUR42AH is not necessarily suitable for older models such as 444 9160, 444 9180, 442 9020, 447AS, 448, 449 or 449E.
For four-post lifts and scissor lifts, it is also important to check exactly which support is actually installed. On QUADRA548LA, QUADRA552LA, QUADRA558LA, QUADRA 493 9021, 493 9023, 493 9031, ARGOS30M, SATELLITE 3T / 436 9301, GALAXIE448PLA, GALAXIE551ELA and older GALAXIE IV models, rubber supports, rubber blocks, support plates or auxiliary lift supports may have different designs.
As differences may occur depending on the year of manufacture, version or installed support plate, you should always measure the existing support plate yourself before ordering. Compare the dimensions with the technical drawings and measurements on the respective product page. This helps to avoid incorrect orders and makes it much easier to reliably identify the correct rubber support for your FOG automotive lift.
FOG Rubber Supports for Current and Older Models
Rubber pads and rubber supports for FOG two-post lifts are frequently searched for. These include current AZUR models as well as older series with numbers such as 442, 444, 447, 448 and 449. On these lifts, the support plate, thread, support shaft, hole pattern and diameter are important characteristics for selecting the correct replacement part.
For four-post lifts such as QUADRA548LA, QUADRA552LA, QUADRA558LA or older QUADRA and GALAXIE III lifts, you should check before ordering whether a runway support, an auxiliary lift rubber pad, a rubber block or a special rubber support is required. For scissor lifts and short-rise lifts, relevant models include ARGOS30M, SATELLITE 3T, 436 9301, GALAXIE448PLA, GALAXIE551ELA and the GALAXIE IV variants. Here, the length, width, height and contact surface shape of the existing rubber blocks are particularly important. The model number alone is not always sufficient for these automotive lifts.
Information About the FOG Brand and Older Nameplates
The former NOUVELLE FOG AUTOMOTIVE structure, respectively Base France, was liquidated in France in 2022. However, the FOG brand remains visible and is currently listed on the official FOG website as a brand of MULLER AUTOMOTIVE.
This history is important when searching for replacement parts because older automotive lifts may appear on the market under different names. The nameplate may, for example, show FOG, FOGAUTOLUBE, FFB Automotive, NOUVELLE FOG AUTOMOTIVE, Base France or MULLER AUTOMOTIVE. Please therefore always copy the model number exactly as shown on the nameplate and do not omit any spaces, letters or additional designations.
