How to Choose the Correct Rubber Pad for LONGUS

For LONGUS, the exact model designation is particularly important because current LHB and LHB-Pro models as well as older CL, LO and ELK designations are present on the market at the same time. A rubber support for an LHB-2.45-C does not necessarily fit an LHB-2.45-P, LHB-2.40-EPS, CL-2.40-H, LO 2.32 HT or ELK-2.35.

LONGUS rubber pads and support plate rubbers are particularly frequently requested for two-post lifts such as LHB-2.40-EPS, LHB-2.45-C, LHB-2.45-P, LHB-2.40-JX, LHB-2.55, LHB-2.60, LHB-Pro-2.35-EP, LHB-Pro-2.42-EC and LHB-Pro-2.50-EP. For older systems, designations such as CL-2.40-F, CL-2.40-M, CL-2.40-H, CL-2.35-D, LO 2.32H, LO 2.32 HT, LO-2.42-HT or L 350/35-2M APMS are also relevant.

Dealer data lists, for certain older LONGUS applications, rubber pads with a diameter of 120 mm, a height of 16 mm, a 115 mm mount and 1 centre hole. These dimensions are useful when searching, but should not be applied generally to all LONGUS automotive lifts. The decisive factor is always the support plate actually installed on your own lift.

As differences may occur depending on the year of manufacture, version or installed support plate, you should always measure the existing support plate yourself before ordering. Compare the dimensions with the technical drawings and measurements on the respective product page. This helps prevent incorrect orders and makes it much easier to reliably identify the correct rubber support for your LONGUS automotive lift.

LONGUS Rubber Supports for Two-Post, Scissor and Short-Rise Lifts

On LONGUS two-post lifts, rubber pads and support plates are typical wear parts. Daily use, vehicle weight, oil, dirt and ageing can cause the supports to become hard, cracked or damaged. Timely replacement protects the vehicle’s lifting points and ensures proper contact with the support plate.

For current LHB models and older CL/LO models, it should always be checked which lifting arm and support version is installed. Diameter, height, centre hole, bore, support shaft and mounting type are particularly important. Retrofits or replaced support plates can also mean that a different rubber support is required.

For LONGUS scissor and short-rise lifts such as LSB-Pro-3.0-EK, LSB-3.2-SSE, LSB-3.5-SLE, LSB-3.5-SLB, LSB-4.5-SE, LSB-5.0-SL, LSB-5.5-SE, LSB-5.5-SEL or LSB-5.5-SB, rubber blocks, rubber pads or rectangular rubber supports are often required. In these cases, length, width, height and the shape of the contact surface are important. The model number alone is not always sufficient for these lifts.

LONGUS Autolift and Older Model Designations

On the used-equipment market, LONGUS automotive lifts sometimes appear under older designations or names similar to those shown on the nameplate. These include, for example, Paul Lange LONGUS Autolift, L 350/35-2M APMS, LO 2.32H, LO 2.32 HT, CL-2.35-D, CL-2.40-F, CL-2.40-L, CL-2.40-M and CL-2.40-H. Such information is very helpful when searching, but does not replace comparing the dimensions of the existing component.

Especially on older LONGUS lifts, support plates, lifting arms, support pins or rubber pads may have been replaced over the years. This is why we do not only check the model name, but also the actual support fitted to your automotive lift. This makes it much easier to reliably narrow down the correct Böck® rubber support.
